An experienced judicial conservative who is dedicated to serving our community.
I grew up in Jefferson County, so I know this community and its values. For the past twenty-four years, I have served Jefferson County both in private practice and as a prosecutor. The first ten years of my career, I advocated for children in the court system as a Guardian ad litem and represented clients in family, probate and civil matters. Prior to taking the bench, I worked for fourteen years as a Jefferson County Assistant District Attorney representing the State of Wisconsin and the County. During those years, I worked closely with law enforcement to protect our community from the effects of drugs, violence and property crimes. I also worked to protect children who were victims of abuse and neglect. I have been part of the Jefferson County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court, and I am currently heading the JET committee for the County. It is an honor to be entrusted with such an important role. I am proud to serve the citizens of Jefferson County. I cherish my community, and I am honored by the opportunity to serve you. I ask for your support on April 1, 2025.
Theresa and her family are lifelong residents of Jefferson County. She resides in Jefferson with her husband Pat and their daughter Claire.
She has served her community through volunteering and participation in various service organizations such as the Rotary Club, the Council for the Performing Arts, the Jefferson Community Foundation, Campus Guardians and the Wisconsin State Bar Mock Trial Program.
Unfortunately, domestic abuse, property crimes and crimes related to substance abuse are very real issues Jefferson County faces. As a former prosecutor, I have seen how these crimes affect our community. As Judge, I intend to make sure that those that violate the law are held accountable for their crimes.
I am committed to applying the laws as written to ensure that all individuals are treated equally and fairly under the law.
I do not take for granted the power a Judge has to impact the lives of others through his or her actions. I intend to keep my focus on the people of this community and will continually strive to ensure that my decisions are consistent with the law and fair.
